María Aurora is a partner of BERKEN IP and an attorney-at-law. Her practice comprises trademark law, copyright, domain names, internet matters, publicity, promotions, negotiation and drafting of franchising and licensing contracts.

Previously a corporate attorney at leading companies, she has acquired extensive experience in corporate trademark and legal matters. María Aurora was Manager of Corporate Affairs (August 2000 - September 2003) and Head of Intellectual Property and Computer Law (January 2000 - August 2000) in Molinos Río de la Plata S.A., an important local food company. Before that, she held several positions at YPF S.A., the largest argentine oil & gas company. She was Head of the Corporate Affairs Area from the Vice Presidency of Legal Affairs (October 1997 - December 1999) and previously served as lawyer in the same department (December 1990 - October 1997).

María regularly attends Annual and Leadership Meetings of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and is an active member in the association's Design Rights Subcommittee of the Emerging Issues Committee (EIC).

María obtained her Law Degree (1990) from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. She earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) (1997) from the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She is a registered Patent and Trademark Agent at the National Institute of Industrial Property.
