Within the frame of the 40º Anniversary of the Interamerican Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), Alicia Alvarez Berkenwald attended the "XI Work Sessions & Administrative Council", which was carried out on November 14-17, 2004, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Among other goals, ASIPI seeks to harmonize Intellectual Property Laws in the Americas and to promote the development of groups of attorneys and agents throughout the continent.

Alicia Alvarez Berkenwald attended the 39º Annual Congress of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), which took place on June 19-24, 2004, in Geneva, Switzerland.

It's the first time since 1927 that AIPPI´s meeting is carried out in Geneva, considered by many the world's Intellectual Property capital city.

Alicia Alvarez Berkenwald, Partner and Head of Patent Department, will represent our firm at the Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA), to be held on May 1-5, 2004, in Atlanta, USA.

Being "the largest and most prestigious gathering of trademark professionals in the world", around 7,000 colleagues are expected to attend in order to discuss trademark matters and to network with colleagues from around the world.

On May 13-15, 2004, Ms. Alvarez Berkenwald will attend the Spring Meeting of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) in Dallas, Texas.
